Frequently Asked Questions
But how does InvoiceApp work? Is it safe? And what happens to my data? We understand that you might have some questions, the most common questions are summed up below. If you have another question, please use our contact page.
Is my data safe in your environment?
Our application runs in a highly secure environment. We have been certified to a level so that even banks and governments can drop their data and applications.
The connections with the internet are permanently monitored by highly specialized staff. On top of that our “Data Security Officer” has the task of keeping all designs in the light of security and privacy in mind.
Our privacy and security policies are reviewed annually by an independent expert and their directions are a must follow for us.
How does InvoiceApp earn money as it's free?
Upon registration, you grant the InvoiceApp permission to use your data to give your purchase advice within the InvoiceApp environment. This service will be started only after we have enough historic purchasing data in order for us to be sure we only give you relevant advice.
But what happens with my data?
We are very much aware of the fact that you are sharing sensitive information with us, bills tell a lot about what you do in your business and as a consumer in your private life. We therefore included in our terms and conditions and our privacy policy that we will not share information with third parties.
We analyse your purchases within our own data center and the profile we extract from it does not leave the data center. We have developed software that offers you an offer based on your profile within the portal or app. You can then decide whether you want to go into that offer and click on the supplier. We simplify your buying process by limiting the options and provide you with the best possible offers from our package.
But what about buying advice & trackers?
Perhaps you’ve wondered how advertisers on a website know that you’ve been on a different site. They do so by so-called “trackers” searching your computer for cookies from other sites and knowing that you’ve been there before. Marketers mention that with a nice word called ‘retargeting’ they remind you that you were probably interested.
Now that is still innocent, but there are also trackers who collect more than just information about your cookies. Companies using these trackers do not make it known what they do with that information and to whom they sell that information.
We think that this kind of data collection is unethical, especially if you do not know what’s happening with your data. We have therefore stated in our privacy policy that we do not allow trackers on our site.
Is making a payment with InvoiceApp safe?
Currently, through a SEPA file, we set up a payment order within your internet banking environment, after which you automatically identify what payments you actually want to pay in the internet banking environment. And you then authorize yourself with your own passport and card reader from your bank.<.
We are working to replace this “cumbersome” SEPA file to internet banking. We will replace this function with a secure direct payment button that lets you directly manage your payment without having to access your internet banking environment. Simple, fast and safe.
What if i need some help?
We set up a service desk that will help you get back on track. For all possible questions, please visit our chat box at the bottom of the App, and our staff will see if they can help you through a direct response or a reference to a video.
What to do if I get a notification that irregularities have been detected in an invoice I have received?
Refuse the receipt of the invoice. The sender will receive a message indicating the irregularities detected. The sender will be requested to modify or send an answer why the invoice is correct. If we find irregularities in the invoice sent to you, we will list this above the invoice.
We will also report to the supplier that we have found irregularities and ask them to modify them so that the notifications will disappear automatically if new invoices appear.
Do I have access to the data of my InvoiceApp archive if InvoiceApp stops?
Yes. The notary’s founding letter made a reservation that ensures that data servers remain available to users for up to three months after the end of the InvoiceApp. This gives you more than enough time to copy your personal archive to another storage, and to delete your content/data of the InvoiceApp servers.
What if my own business stops? Can someone transfer my data?
You will always own the data, and have the opportunity to grant a third party access. For example, if you are dealing with a curator, you can make the most of his/her work because you have carefully built an archive to give him/her access so that he/ she understands who the creditors are.
